Losing weight really means losing fat. Basically your diet should be made up of things that are rich in protein and healthy fats and low in carbs. Carbs will disrupt blood sugar and insulin levels in your body and cause fat gain. You don't need to be a doctor or have a PHD in some funky labeled category to understand being healthy and losing weight. You are a human being just like everyone else on the planet and we are all the same when it comes to eating and drinking. You eat junk foods you get fat, you drink lots of alcohol you get fat. You eat fish, meats, vegetables and fruits you get healthy and slim, you drink water, tea, limited alcohol you get healthy and slim.
